“Help for Inmates” is a free site designed to offer help to inmates and their families in many ways. Here on this site you will find names, links, phone numbers, email addresses and other information about organizations that are designed and committed to helping inmates’ families with some of the problems they will face while their loved ones are incarcerated. It is not necessary, or fair, for you or your children to continue paying the price for something that is out of your control. In the news, games and entertainment section, you will find many games and interactive programs to keep kids and families entertained and current.

 

“Help for Inmates” is a free site that provides access and links to many other sites and programs that will assist families of inmates connect with the proper agencies and find them the help they so desperately need. Many of these programs are not readily known and are sometimes difficult to locate.  If you or a loved one needs help, you are encouraged to contact as many of these organizations as necessary and avail yourself of their services.

 

“Help for Inmates” also offers all inmates and their families free guidance and assistance in 100’s of other vital areas. There are literally thousands of programs designed to help inmates and their families survive through some of the hardest times in their lives. Many of these programs offer medical, financial, spiritual and legal assistance.

 

At “Help for Inmates”, you can find assistance with job placement for the families of current inmates, as well as newly released inmates, in order to help with their transition back into society. Information on locations that provide job training and assist with child care and assistance for loved ones left behind to help them care for their family is also available. On our site you will find information on various programs that are designed to help ex-offenders with their difficult re-entry into society. This help includes assistance with finding jobs, housing, counseling, food, medical help, child and family services as well as other legal help.

 

Included in our news section, you will find vital information concerning important and recent court decisions, and up-to-date case rulings that could have a positive affect on the time those incarcerated may have to serve.

 

“Help for Inmates” provides lists of organizations that offer free help for inmates that have been wrongly convicted or that need assistance with post conviction challenges.

 

If you are an ex-offender recently released from jail or prison, or just on probation or parole, there are hundreds of programs available to assist you and your family.  If you don’t find the help you are looking for or the assistance you need, send Help For Inmates an email and we will attempt to assist you. No matter how long, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. The following is a partial list of the areas where you may find the help you are seeking. Mission Statement

Help For Inmates’ mission is to help the families and loved ones of inmates find the needed support and assistance they require in order to adjust and cope with some of the most difficult times in their lives. Our underlying principle purpose is to help "break the cycle of recidivism" for inmates, and to provide a gateway to help inmates and ex-offenders accomplish this by providing them with useful and helpful information that will assist them with their goals of successfully functioning within the mainstream of society once they are released. Additionally, we are dedicated to assisting the families and friends of those incarcerated discover legal methods by which they can support themselves and prepare themselves for the eventual return of their loved ones. Everyone makes mistakes, some more than one, this should not be the ‘Mark of Cain’ for anyone, and is not an excuse to just give up on them. Many, if not most, re-offend because they "know no other way." We at Help for Inmates believe that:

We will always be updating this site and we will continue to gather information and resources that will be available for inmate families and inmates in order to ease their burden and ensure a productive and meaningful future during and after incarceration that will help integrate individuals back into a productive and meaningful family life. Lowering recidivism remains the principle goal, however providing individuals and families with hope as well as positive social integrity and a promising future is..., well,.... Priceless!

Help for Inmates is a site dedicated to helping inmates through the incarceration period as well as their integration back into becoming a productive member of society. A large part of this help is to provide support and assistance to the inmate families. Help for inmates has spent countless hours scouring the internet and researching the programs and services that can be helpful to inmates and their families. Most of these families do not know of these programs and generally have no idea of what's available to them, much less how to go about finding those programs. Help for Inmates has put in the time for them and will continue to compile and update the programs available on this one consolidated, easy to use, website. We believe these efforts will help lower the rate of recidivism (habitual relapse into crime) which is the underlying goal.
